You've been asking for it since the release of the ShortStak upgrade for the BlackPak Pro, and now the ShortStak SOLO is available as a standalone storage box. Like its predecessor, the ShortStak SOLO comes in three sizes: 13 x 13, 13 x 16, and 16 x 16.
How does this version differ from the original ShortStak? The ShortStak SOLO comes with everything you need to build this low-profile storage box as a standalone storage solution, including the lid, hinges, and latches that aren't included in the BlackPak upgrade. The ShortStak SOLO also features a new sliding foot option that allows it to glide freely across your kayak deck or on traction skids. This is especially useful when using the ShortStak SOLO for under-seat storage. And if you're wondering, YES, you can add a ShortStak upgrade on top of the ShortStak SOLO, giving you two convenient 4.25-inch-deep storage layers.
The construction of this self-contained unit is the same as the rest of our BlackPak and ShortStak range. From lightweight injection-molded components to the GridLoc mounting platform inside and outside the case, it's easily customizable. The ShortStak SOLO will last for years, even in harsh marine environments. The ultra-rigid panels utilize a ribbed structure that provides exceptional rigidity with minimal weight, while their interlocking joints ensure an intuitive and frustration-free assembly process. The GridLoc interlocking panels use a tongue-and-groove design for easy assembly.
As mentioned above, the ShortStak SOLO features the same GridLoc 2D mounting platform as the BlackPak Pro, which offers molded bosses allowing you to attach accessories both inside and outside the panels. Accessories include GridLoc MightyMounts and MightyMount XL, through-hull wiring kits, TracPaks, and more.
