- The Hiyak is Astral's idea of a good pair of booties . It offers ground-hugging stability, foot protection, and neoprene-free insulation. The result is a lighter, more durable bootie that dries quickly and offers phenomenal traction.

- Intended use: water, boat
- Upper: Hydrophobic canvas with 1060D ballistic nylon reinforcement. Padded ankle protection with a semi-rigid heel cup. 3mm padded spacer-mesh lining. Hidden laces with Velcro flap. Reflective logo on heel and tongue, water-resistant laces.
- Midsole: 7mm thick 45C closed-cell removable EVA foam.
- Outsole: High-friction G.ss(TM) rubber compound with drainage holes in the toe and heel. 3.5 mm thick. Non-marking.
- Distance between the foot and the ground: 12 mm at the heel, 11 mm at the ball.
